Disney’s The Million-Dollar Dixie Deliverance
(adventure) (1978). Starring Ben Jones, Sonny Shroyer. The
Confederates kidnap five Yankee children for use as hostages. The children
nurse a wounded Union Army soldier during their ordeal.
A Time for Miracles (biography) (1980), ABC movie nominated
for an Emmy. Starring Kate Mulgrew as Mother Elizabeth Bayley
Seton, Lorne Greene. A true story, Mother Seton (1774-1826) was a
New Yorker who became the first canonized American saint in 1975. She
started the Sisters of Charity and opened a school in Maryland.
The Long Riders (western) (1980). Starring
Carradine, Quaid, Keach, and Guest brothers, plus Harry Carey, Jr.
Director Walter Hill portrays the infamous James Gang in this western
action film. The distinguishing feature of this film is its public-relations
hook of using four sets of famous actor-brothers. David Carradine---Cole

2001 Maniacs (horror) (2005). Starring Robert
Englund. Modern college kids from the North are on their way to Spring
break when they are lured into a nightmarish Brigadoon-type city. Angry
Southerners emerge from the mists of Civil War times to carry out vengeance.
